Hourly Pay: $25 per hour (up to 10 hours per event)
Employment Type: Contractor, Freelancer
Typical Hours: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Uniform: Ruban Bleu Shirt or Black collared shirt, Black Pants, Black Shoes

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Day-of-Wedding Coordinator to oversee the flawless execution of wedding events. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership qualities, and a proven ability to manage all aspects of a wedding day. This is a contractor/freelance role with the potential for ongoing opportunities based on event schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

Pre-Event Preparation

  • Collaborate with clients to finalize event details, including timelines, layouts, and special requests.

  • Coordinate with vendors to confirm arrival times, setup requirements, and specific instructions.

Event Management

  • Lead the setup and arrangement of ceremony and reception spaces according to established designs.

  • Oversee the execution of the event timeline to ensure all activities proceed smoothly.

  • Direct and guide assistant coordinators and event staff.

Vendor Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendors throughout the event.

  • Ensure vendors adhere to the event timeline and venue guidelines.

Guest Experience

  • Welcome and assist guests, ensuring their comfort and addressing any inquiries or concerns.

  • Monitor guest flow and manage any issues that arise to maintain a smooth experience.

Ceremony and Reception Management

  • Oversee the coordination of the ceremony processional and recessional.

  • Manage transitions between key moments like speeches, dances, and special activities.

Emergency Response

  • Handle unforeseen challenges with a calm, solution-oriented approach.

  • Make quick decisions to maintain the success of the event.

Bridal Party Support

  • Provide guidance to the bridal party, ensuring they are ready and organized.

  • Assist with any last-minute needs or adjustments.

Clean-Up and Breakdown

  • Supervise event breakdown and cleanup.

  • Ensure all rented items are collected and the venue is left in pristine condition.

Uniform and Professionalism

  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance in the required uniform: Ruban Bleu Shirt or Black Collared Shirt, Black Pants, and Black Shoes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event coordination, particularly with weddings or similar events.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to remain composed and focused in high-pressure situations.

  • Availability to work typical event hours (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM) on weekends and evenings.

  • Physically able to lift and move event equipment and décor as needed.

  • Familiarity with weddings and wedding etiquette is essential.
