Hourly Pay: $20 per hour (up to 8 hours)
Employment Type: Contractor, Freelancer
Typical Hours: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Uniform: Ruban Bleu Shirt or Black collared shirt, Black Pants, Black Shoes

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Assistant Day-of-Wedding Coordinator to support our team in ensuring the smooth execution of wedding events. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for making couples' special day truly memorable. This is a contractor/freelance role with the potential for ongoing opportunities based on event schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Setup and Venue Preparation

  • Assist with ceremony and reception setup according to established layouts and designs.

  • Arrange seating, table settings, décor, and other visual elements as directed by the lead coordinator.

  • Ensure all signage, guest books, and necessary items are properly displayed.

2. Vendor Coordination

  • Help coordinate the arrival and setup of vendors such as florists, photographers, caterers, and musicians.

  • Serve as a point of contact for vendors throughout the event.

3. Guest Assistance

  • Greet and guide guests upon arrival, providing directions and answering basic questions.

  • Assist with distributing programs, escort cards, and favors.

4. Timeline Management

  • Support the lead coordinator to ensure the event timeline is followed accurately.

  • Alert vendors and participants of upcoming activities and transitions.

5. Ceremony and Reception Support

  • Assist with coordinating the processional and recessional during the ceremony.

  • Guide guests to their seats and help manage any unexpected issues.

6. Emergency Handling

  • Remain calm and solution-oriented when handling unforeseen situations or last-minute changes.

7. Assistance to Bridal Party

  • Help bridal party members stay on schedule and in the correct locations.

  • Assist with handling bouquets, boutonnieres, and other necessary items.

8. Clean-Up and Breakdown

  • Assist with event breakdown and cleanup.

  • Ensure all rented items are collected and the venue is left in good condition.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event coordination, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

  • Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations.

  • Availability to work weekends and evenings.

  • Physically able to lift and move event equipment and décor.

  • Familiarity with weddings and wedding etiquette is preferred.
